NEW UPDATE 4.0!!

During the regularly Scheduled Maintenance from 8pm-11pm PDT, Thursday November 13, 2008 there will be no patch as we prepare for a our major 4.0 Update.

The 4.0 Update is set to go live next week, Thursday 11/20.

Full details regarding the 4.0 Update will be posted on the front page and forums early next week.

Tomorrow will not have a game update, but there will be a "patch download" that may be of significant size. We are working on trying to pack the patch as tight as possible to preserver DL time and effort for all of you so I don't know yet what the final size will be of that patch. The content of that patch will be made active when we launch 4.0.

If the patch is too big to get through normal patch channels we will make a bit torrent and make it available through various mirrors.

Basically what this all means is this... new quests and instances! WOOT!

Requiem : Bloodymare, better than RoM?

I never played that game. Maybe I will download it and ephynius make me a touristic route for the requiem world XD.

I would wait to download it when 4.0 comes out, which is next Thursday.
If you don't wait, you'll have ALOT of patching to do, since the new patch
is around 208mg, and it goes VERY slow. But yes, I think it's a great game.
I've been playing it since closed beta back in February. Example of the game,

And i got some more information about the 4.0 filesize. 00000128.rpt is still ~208MB,
in addition we get 00000129.rpt ~39MB and 00000130.rpt ~9MB.

- The level cap will be raised to 71 100%
- New level 70 skills (it seems they can be used once every hour, description might be not accurate, still need confirmation):

Holy Hand
300 HP recovery, 86 HP per second

Lesser Party Healing
100% HP recovery for the party

Acceleration of the tensile
0.6secs attack speed increase for 10 minutes

Lightning of the shackles
-2.5m movement speed for 8 enemies

Intermediate Party Healing
500HP recovery

Flame of the Master
+17% damage for attack skills

Combustion of the Wind
Fire Resistance +12%

Blood Hunger
+35 damage, +70 fire damage

Intermediate Monster Resurrection
(have no clue yet)
